Rather quiet on the loco front toda i have to say, and due to the cold conditions my pictures weren't up to my usual standards. Headed over to Warrington for the day to see what was around loco wise and to meet up with some mates! Had a good day and some laughs! Mostly 66's on the WCML freights aswell as some shots taken at Latchford sidings and Arpleyu yard. Thanks to Luke, Jack and Fred for the company and the laughs, and to the wasp on platform 2 for stinging me on the hand!

Today i headed to Liverpool for "The North Wales Express" railtour with 6201 "Princess Elizibeth booked as traction for the tour to Holyhead. After that (with 57601 on the rear) departed and because it was still morning and i was on a "Saveaway" ticket we decided to take a mooch around some locations in Liverpool and the Wirral. These photos include a new location to us, Downhill C.S, just east of Edge Hill on the Runcorn line. We then headed down to Hooton because the Chester line was closed for engerneering works to see if we could spot any engerneering trains in the area. After a quick rail replacement bus trip we spotted the spoil train with 66094 at Bache, but conditions proved too poor for photography. Then headed to Chester and saw a few units before travelling home for the Day. Thanks to Luke for the company!

Mon 01 Jun 2009 05:27:15 PM UTC
I was on exam leave today, ad had nothing to do in the afternoon after an exam. Checked information on the computer and found that the 6K41 Valley - Crewe Nuclear Flask train was running. So shot down to Chester in the heat of a packed Merseyrail service and was rewarded after a 40 minute wait by DRS owned 37609 and 37602 with 3 flask wagons.
