Today i headed to Liverpool for "The North Wales Express" railtour with 6201 "Princess Elizibeth booked as traction for the tour to Holyhead. After that (with 57601 on the rear) departed and because it was still morning and i was on a "Saveaway" ticket we decided to take a mooch around some locations in Liverpool and the Wirral. These photos include a new location to us, Downhill C.S, just east of Edge Hill on the Runcorn line. We then headed down to Hooton because the Chester line was closed for engerneering works to see if we could spot any engerneering trains in the area. After a quick rail replacement bus trip we spotted the spoil train with 66094 at Bache, but conditions proved too poor for photography. Then headed to Chester and saw a few units before travelling home for the Day. Thanks to Luke for the company!
